Big Apple

Cousin Butch brought us some apples from Hood River. He brought one that weighed 1 pound 6.3 ounces! It's the biggest Apple I have ever seen! Thanks Butch!

Mornings with Minnie Mouse

Just about every morning after I feed the inside dogs and cats I sit down to enjoy my coffee and get caught up on Facebook, Pintrest and the weather; and every morning that this happens Minnie Mouse climbs on my lap to give or get some love from mommy. She only does this in the morning, I'm guessing she's like me and the mornings are the best...

Alittle bit of straw.

This is what 2 tons of straw looks like. Thank you Joe for all your help! Kisses and hugs!
Next up is Tank and Lexi having a blast ripping apart the round of hay so they could be king and queen of the mountain. Silly dogs! I just couldn't get mad because they were having soooooooo much fun!

Tank shoved her off.
She's plotting her next move.
Tank thinks he's the King!
Aaaaahhhhhh the Queen reigns.

Too late for Halloween but just in time for thanksgiving

Well here's our pumpkin patch harvest.
They are small, but they are mighty! Just like my grandma Wanda, may she still be resting in peace. ;0)

First dusting of Snow.

I drove home yesterday from work with a throbbing headache left over from my two day episode with the flu to these spectacular sights. I hope these pictures do the landscape justice.
I just love being home.

The 6 best reasons for getting the flu

Here they are:

#6: you meet a nice lady who works at the Spokane Health department because you thought you had food poisoning.

#5: you notice that your floor around your toilet needs cleaning.

#4: you save money on groceries, because a cracker now constitutes a meal and it takes you an hour to eat it.

#3: you unplug from technology because even the sight of a TV hurts your eyes and any noise causes your eyes to throb.

#2: you discover you must have at least a thousand stomach muscles that you didn't even knew existed.

#1: you loose 2.5 pounds.

Cleaning up a mess.

I had to do something that made me feel good, something satisfying, anything to help bring alittle order to the chaos, so I reorganized my craft room. I swore I wasn't going to buy anything, no reorganizing baskets in pretty colors, no new shelving, no new nothing! I needed to get creative, feel the power of putting my brain to work. Do with what I have, repurpose and reuse. So here's the start, haven't decided if it's done, buts it's on it's way.
The shelves came from my parents restaurant when I was a kid. I made the rug out of sheets that I had purchased at the good will stores when I was in Cheyenne WY. The picture was painted by a lady I worked with at Lamoures Dry Cleaners when I was 19, Ruth Williams. She pained the name on the boat "The Joy".
The chair I purchased at the Animal Shelter Thrift store when I lived in CA, I recovered it with some material I had laying around. The wire shelving I stole from Megan, my daughter, the old pots were Joe's grandmothers. My grandmother Hendrix painted the ocean scene.
Joe made these book shelves when he was in JR High.
Well let's see if it remains cozy and comfortable.

Fell in love with a BUTTON!

On one of my many "just window" shopping days at Joanne's this shiny red button caught my eye. Thank goodness I just happened to have a 40% off coupon!  I bought it having no idea what in the world I would do with it!
One evening I was browsing through Pintrest and a button wrap pattern caught my eye, of course had to modify the pattern, because my button needed a bling effect. I ended up mixing three different types of yarn to creat a great wrap that makes my button POP.

Joe and his favorite girl, Lucy.

Adorable picture.

Kota, Ahni and the horse trailer.

Ahni getting ready to step in the trailer. It's taken a week to get her to this point. Slow and sure. She ended up putting her two front hooves in then stood still while I petted her and reassured her everything was ok before asking her to back up.
Kota finally made it all the way in. He's been banging the bottom of the trailer with his front right hoof for three days. I think he was just checking it out before he finally committed.
Yea!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
